AbstractThe canal of Perpignan designed in 1425 for the needs for the town of Perpignan (France) crosses a vast territory. Its characteristic: it is the only canal of the department of Pyrenees Orientales to be private property of public collectivity. This article is a reflexion on the many administrative, budgetary, legal and policies constraints of its history.
